KeymasterThis has also been added to the calendar of events.

KeymasterOuch, that sounds painful. Hopefully you have a full recovery soon!

KeymasterIt will take some time. I think phase 1 of our re-entrance into the DayZ world will be going through our Field Manual and seeing what has changed from core gameplay mechanics. Exploring the new things and getting familiar with the game again.
Phase 2 will be something like re-learning how to operate as a singular unit with our squad positions.
Phase 3 will be honing the Field Manual and backend recruiting/paperwork to align with the new DayZ.
Phase 4 will be the great big advertising push, I am hoping we can all get to this point before 0.63 Stable so we have everything squared away as we onboard new members to the community.
Phase 5 will be deploying our own server when 0.63 stable hits so we have our own place to deal with hackers and server issues when we play. I already have the server up and running, just waiting on the server files.

KeymasterOur server is up and running, we are pretty much coasting along until the next patch though.
You are welcome to check our Field Manual that details how we operate, including our uniform for identification and our rules of engagement.

KeymasterI saw a twitter post stating they were moving EXP to Stable today, but it didn’t include cars… 🙁
I am really looking forward to this!

KeymasterApeLogic, Tiberius, and digitalstimulus were looting around on DUG when we came across a player. We were able to spot him first and move into the encounter without either side getting startled.
He originally approached cautiously, then pulled his weapon out. After some diplomacy, the environment was friendly. He unfortunately went silent and shortly thereafter decided to start punching me in the head.
I went unconscious and the other two quickly dispatched of him. 2 more survivors must have heard the commotion and approached within a few minutes. They were friendly and we were able to help them get some apples and provide a secure environment while they grabbed food.

KeymasterI think Brian Hicks officially said recently that it is 8 days, moving items is supposed to refresh that timer.
However…
In practice, it appears that Hicks’ information is outdated or too soon, some base items haven’t been touched in over 8 days and are still persistent. Plus, we are finding that paper, garden plots, and other junk is staying on the ground.
Excess junk is causing our server to crash, and we aren’t the only ones. DayZ Underground is also crashing probably due to excess junk from how loot is working right now.
To be safe, just keep refreshing your stuff at least every 8 days and you should be good.

KeymasterHello and welcome!
digitalstimulus
KeymasterI can manually kick start the server, however they are requesting that I leave it down and put in a support ticket so they can see exactly what is going on.
0.60 broke something on the server side they are having to work around. Luckily fragnet is very quick to respond.

KeymasterOur server was physically moved by the same provider to address their massive influx of DayZ servers with 0.60, I keep putting tickets in for these bumps in the road.
We are paid up to Aug 31, the funding pool is for the upcoming months.

KeymasterMany of our community are/were on vacation recently. There’s more to life than DayZ 🙂

KeymasterI think you are confusing our public server, which is open for any play style, with our community mission, which is to do good. There are no rules to abide by on our server other than those set forth by the devs, and we welcome all play styles including heroes, bandits, and all manner of survivors in between. Public servers are not able to use admin utilities such as kick/ban to force play styles or rules on anyone. Private servers are allowed to have and enforce special rules. In-game, anyone can play anyway they want in accordance with the developers’ intentions and design of the game.
Our Base Raid mission template is for any server we play on, not just ours. If we come across any unknown base on any server, we may commandeer equipment and leave a note with a resupply claim. This is DayZ, a video game about the apocalypse and the chaos that follows.
I don’t get the purpose of your reference to civilized society and how governments work in civilized societies. We are not a government, we are an organization that is built to do good. Our Field Manual is public knowledge so that our actions and behaviors are transparent to the people that encounter us.
We acquire gear to aid in that cause and we help those out that deserve or need our help. From our point of view, the only way we can be certain that large quantities of guns and ammo found in camps are going to be used for good is if we know whose camp it is and their intentions or we are in possession of said gear.
The gameplay style rules we make for our community members are for our enjoyment of forcing good into the harsh world of DayZ. We are not a hand holding society where everyone farts rainbows and butterflies and skips around whistling Dixie hoping no one shoots us and asking permission to do good.
We are “survivors of the apocalypse” and the player environment that DayZ forces upon us. We must be firm in order to accomplish our mission successfully.
By the way, if you see blue with yellow arm bands, do not aim at us. We shoot as soon as a gun is raised. We can’t help that there are lone wolf survivors out there that are too scared to talk and would rather point weapons at us. We certainly aren’t going to bend over and take it if someone is threatening us with a weapon in any scenario.
Hopefully that clears some things up for you and anyone else that may come across this thread. Enjoy!

KeymasterIf you received a resupply claim, your items are not gone forever.
We commandeer equipment we find because we do not know if the previous owner intends to use it for good or not. In our possession, the gear will only be used for the greater good of all.
We take from all unknown camps to aid our cause and resupply those with good intentions. You can bring the note to us if you would like to have a chat and we can determine if your intentions are worthy.
Basically, bandits and hostiles don’t get their gear back.
Please see our Field Manual topic on Base Raiding for more details on how we conduct this process.

KeymasterNone of our members will ever be faulted for defending themselves. While we do try to talk first, diplomacy ends when we see a gun raised. We are not lambs for slaughter, we have too much experience dealing with all kinds of threats in DayZ, including scared lone wolf survivors.
I am inclined to believe you that for some you reason you can’t hear people in-game. It’s a little fishy that 2 sworn in HEROs were gunned down by you, one of them is myself, the main founder and person that pretty much put all of this together.
Unfortunately, I have you recorded on video gunning me down while I clearly tried talking to you as well.
I think you should try to meet up with us in-game and also be on our Mumble server at the same time to make sure your in-game voice is working. We can work on any technological issues with you.
I am closing this thread to encourage your in-game meetup with us and to come onto our Mumble server to address any technological issues you might be having.
