Hello Hostile Relief Organization. My name is Dustin. I am 28. From South Carolina. I held my first flashlight back in .47 I believe, once choppers were added. I believe I’m getting close to my 1K hours played. I have a lot of sheer gaming experience of all flavors. In DayZ, I have also played most of the styles people choose to play. I’ve only had one experience being with a clan. It went horrible. But would like to give it a go again. As of now I play with a few real life friends and a few I’ve met from Facebook. I don’t use hacks, wouldn’t dupe, and would not cheat in any fashion. I also respect all server rules to the best of my ability. I have done all I can recently to not KOS anyone I don’t find threatening to me or my friends. We typically try to avoid all player contact the best we can. But with no dedicated server it has been difficult. I am hoping yous peoples may have what I like to now call a “runner” curtesy from the movie the maze. Possibly your Recon*? I like to search and find the best loots and gear my friends asap. From beach escorts right into choppers, bases and other high yield locations. And knowing the map like it was my job. I have efficiently gotten better with each route and friend I find. My friends and I would either like to find a new home or start our own. But I am a survivor and want to become a HERO! My preferred set up has been and is currently.. Ghillie Hat and Top (green) TTsKO, blackskull balaclava, M4 with ACOG & red dot. FNX & MP5-K both red dots. With Smersh vest and backpack with no actual backpack. I use the splinting axe for better camo. I run minimal food, water and meds. I play with my depth of field set at the “O” in of. In best quality. I can also shadowplay or fraps.

Hello guys, I’m Felipe, I’m 18 from Brazil, I’ve been playing Dayz for one year, always having a bad time with bandits and looking for good people to play with, looks like I’ve found some!

Hello H.E.R.O. My name is Lewis. I am currently approaching 1100 hours on DayZ and have a lot of experience with the game. I mainly play a survivor role due to usually playing alone however I am willing to change my play style if needs be. I do enjoy player interaction and as a survivor I have been known to KoS. This can be changed though. When you play alone like I do sometimes situations are life or death depending on whether or not you shoot first. Despite being acquainted with the KoS regime, I do not gun down fresh spawns or players not wielding their weapons as they are easier to communicate with. I am skilled in gunfights and can get a job done when force is needed. As well as this, I also have my diplomatic side to me. By diplomatic I mean I comfortable communicating with players in a way that tries to get the best out of a situation for both parties.

So yea, that’s my story on DayZ 🙂

Despite playing solo and a survivor, I am looking for an organised team to play with for the hero role. I have only attempted this with very little success as I play alone. Because of this, this group seems ideal to join for those looking to help others as apposed to killing them.

Hey all, My name is Scottie I’m still fairly new to dayz approaching 30ish hours logged. I’m looking for a group to join up with that is like this one because of the multiple times that I myself have been killed on sight. I don’t have a particular play style so I could fit into any role if you showed me how. Currently I try to avoid players when I see them but if I get close to other players I will try to see if they are friendly and help them out if they need it. My name in servers will now be Good*Scottish. Hope to see you in game.

    Hello friends,

The name is ChicagoMikey (or Chi). I have a little over 100hrs in Dayz SA. I’ve been a lone wolf for months, walking town-to-town scavenging for food and weapons. Only to find out, within the next town; I’ll be murdered by a savage after hours of game play. I am tired of running around and getting killed on sight. For months I’ve been searching for a clan, signing up on websites and joining their VoIPs. Non of them have been accepting. The problem I’ve noticed with DayZ communities is almost all of them are scared to talk or hang out with new members/recruits. How in the world are they expected to grow or recruit members if their too scared to play or speak with freshmen.

As for HEROS (after months of searching) I found a recruitment AD on Reddit. I figured I’d join the Mumble server and see what you’re about. Instantly I had a HERO member acknowledge me. Welcomed me. Even asked me questions about my gaming experience. In the back of my mind I’m thinking this was great, normally Dayz clans will shun new members. Joining the HERO voip was not what I experienced before. The acceptance, acknowledgement and introduction goes a long way with me. That said, I’d like to stay and try out for the HERO community and hopefully be apart of a DayZ community that excepts players rather than Shun.

Hi! I just found out about you guys, and decided to join. My name is jess, im from california, 26, and have been playing dayz since right before SA. I have 155 hours logged in SA. I love dayz, but I am a little bored of playing alone, and while I’ve tried to introduce the game to a few friends, I haven’t had anyone get to anything more than a very bambi level.
My usual play style is: get initial gear, head to novo, then work my way to NWAF. Currently I am very well geared (pump shotty, akm with drum mag, markarov, long horn, full fatigues, ballistic helmet, and even a grenade) and I would love to help go up against griefer/kos jerks.

Hey everyone. My name is William. I currently live in South Carolina, but I am originally from Alabama. Just making a brief stop here in SC for medical school. My preferred study breaks consist of gaming. I have logged around 150 hours on DayZ standalone.
My experience with DAYZ has been all solo. It is hard to spend a ton of time online and even harder to organize with others due to school schedule, but I am SICK AND TIRED of being KOSd every time I log in to a server. I found you guys out of luck when browsing servers and have enjoyed it so far. I have only met one person so far since being on the server (last night at NWAF), but i didn’t die…. so that was a plus! I was even able to help out a fellow survivor by sharing my resources… who would have thunk it?! You can actually work together in this game… I know amazing concept, right?
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, and hopefully I will get to meet a few more people in the near future. Can anyone please tell me how to change my name to add the GOOD tag to it? Thanks for the help there.
Look forward to gaming with you all.

    Hi William,

Welcome to the group. You can change you name on the main DayZ screen. Just select your name at the bottom right of the screen and type in whatever you want your name to be.

I have the same struggles as you due to my work/life demands. Keep an eye on the meetups or jump on mumble when you can.

Looking forward to seeing you out there!

You can also change your name directly through your DayZ config files. If you can’t get it to work through the DayZ main screen, just add me on Steam and hit me up and I’ll walk you through the process.

Glad to have you as part of the group!

What’s up guys – not really interested in being a hero, but I happened to find your server one day and have been living out my dayz life there. I don’t like violent confrontations and have been living a simple life, hunting, gathering, crafting.

I have been camped out north of Elektro and have been lucky enough to have never met another player.

Anyways, a fan of HERO and nice to know there’s good guys on the server! If you guys need anything seek me out. I’ve been hiding stashes here and there for the time when my simple life gets threatened and would be willing to share supplies with good people!
