KeymasterI have 2 promotional video projects on the burner, both of which are waiting for zombies and 0.59. The first will be using Elizaveta’s “Hero” which we received permission from her to use last year.
The second video I would like to be a community created video for all of our video recorders out there. Each video submission does not need to tell a story, I am just looking for some epic footage, video submissions will be cropped to tell a specific story. The music will be using Clint Mansell’s Lux Aeterna:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLJllk-0o6c
Submission requirements:
- 720p minimum Resolution
- Minimum video artifacts or blocks
- Submit as many video clips as you want
- No more than 1 minute of video per submission
- Scenes depicting heroic activity must be in HERO uniform
- Must be themed with one of the themes below
Video Themes
- Loneliness in the apocalypse
- Overwhelming zombie threat
- Bandits being bandits
- Removing the threat of zombies or bandits
- Helping fellow survivors
- Teamwork and groups working together
- The beauty of Chernarus

ParticipantWhat programs should we use to capture game play?

KeymasterSome of the most common streaming/recording programs are:
NVIDIA ShadowPlay (easy)
XSplit (complex)
Open Broadcaster Software (complex)I personally use OBS since I often stream to Twitch and it allows me to overlay my twitch chat, graphics, etc onto the video. ShadowPlay is mostly point and click, not very many options, but so easy to use you can’t mess it up.

ParticipantAre we limited to a one minute-submission per person? Or can one person submit several clips?

KeymasterPeople can submit as many clips as they want. I just don’t want to have to watch 3 hours of video for the 5-10 seconds that will get used for each submission.
If anyone thinks they have some neat footage that will fit with the song and one of the themes, by all means crop it down and submit as many video clips as you want.

KeymasterEXCEPTION!
Videos that can be time lapsed can be any length, I only ask that you crop the before and after movements so the entire video is without character movement. I will do any processing to speed up the video for the time lapse effect.
