Now that we are actively maintaining a camp and with the blood changes in 0.54, I think it would be a good idea to have some rules about keeping O- blood around. It will make our medic’s lives a bit easier and hopefully save a few lives.

(If you weren’t aware, O- blood can be given to anyone. Additionally, blood regen takes twice as long on 0.54 and blood bags hold twice as much blood).

Here are some guidelines that I think we could all agree on.
    – If you find a blood test kit, use it or give it to another HERO or GOOD.
    – If you find that your blood type is O-, find a friend to take your blood. The more times you can donate, the better.
    – If you have extra O- blood, put it in the tent. Anyone that wants to carry some is welcome to.
    – IMPORTANT: Never put any type of blood in the tent except O-. Right now there is no way to tell what type of blood is in a blood bag or label one once you’ve filled it.

I like this idea. Next time I get on, I’ll be on the look-out for test kits.

If we are in a bind, would it make sense as well to record all of our blood types some place as well so we know who can accept a transfusion from who if there isn’t any O- blood available? Just a thought.

I always try to write down my blood type when I take it, but sometimes I forget to write it down, and sometimes I’m unsure if what I’ve written applies to my current character or a previous one.

It would be pretty cool if we could keep a list up somewhere, but I can’t see everyone keeping it updated. We’re bad enough at updating our positions on iZurvive 🙂

Maybe we combine that. On the iZurvive map, the HEROs can write down their name and then blood type?

How about a piece of paper and a pen, perhaps the Medic class can have this as part of their kit. It does take 2 slots but it seems like the devs really want to make blood bags a necessity instead of a convenience like we have been using them.
