HERO Chain of Command

Any grouping of two or more community members is subject to our Chain of Command.  This hierarchy determines who is in charge of squads and responsible for adherence to our Community Rules and HEROs Oath in any given situation.  Any gathering of community members with a shared objective is a mission.  Even if the mission is silly such as having a boxing match on the coast, one of those members is in charge of that mission and responsible for the outcome.

When a squad leader becomes incapacitated on a mission, this hierarchy should be used to determine who is then in charge of the squad.  Outside of squad missions, for the purposes of administration and maintaining conformance to our philosophy and rules, the organization also follows the same political structure from top to bottom:

  1. FOUNDER
  2. HERO*LEADER
  3. HERO*MEDIC
  4. HERO*ASSIST
  5. HERO*RECON
  6. GOOD*LEADER
  7. GOOD*MEDIC
  8. GOOD*ASSIST
  9. GOOD*RECON
  10. GOOD* (Unranked)

Remember: “LMAR is in charge!”  Leader -> Medic -> Assist -> Recon

Demerit and Demotion

It takes a long time to build up trust and maintain our reputation among the global DayZ community, but only seconds to destroy it.  Thus, it may become necessary from time to time to allow our organization to purge those that choose to bring that reputation down.

Should a vetted member of our community knowingly and willingly go against our Community Rules and HEROs Oath, they may be issued an immediate demerit and demotion from an appropriate higher ranking member.  The appropriate higher ranking member may decide to consult with other appropriate higher ranking members, but a consult is not required before issuing a demerit and demotion.

At a minimum, the demoted member will immediately be stripped of rank and squad position and essentially become a GOOD* (Unranked) regardless of their previous position in the community.  Depending on the severity of the infraction, the member may be subject to expulsion from the community.

The following hierarchy shall determine who may issue a demerit and demotion to any lesser ranking member:

  1. Founder
  2. HERO*Leader
  3. HERO*Any
  4. GOOD*Leader

General Public

Any member of the general public that stops in to visit us should be supervised in order to participate in our community.
