While several HEROs and GOOD Deputies waited in Nizhnoye to engage in a nonlethal operation, Miss brought up the idea of HERO having a DayZ version of the US’s Miranda Rights. Here is my attempt at putting something together (for the lulz).
• You have the right to keep your gun and your gear, so long as your weapon remains lowered.
• Should you choose to raise your weapon, it will be considered an act of hostility and you will be met with lethal force.
• Should you decide to be violent or give me reason to believe you will become violent, you will be met with lethal force.
• If you remain friendly or at least neutral, then you will be offered help in the form of food, water, and/or other supplies.
• Knowing and understanding your rights as I have explained them to you, you have no valid reason to claim ignorance should you act in a hostile manner and end up dead.
Obviously trying to recite these “rights” at the beginning of each engagement would be too time-consuming to be practical, but hopefully I hit at the crux of the principles of HERO. Let me know what you think and feel free to correct me where I may be wrong.
