Participant.60 drug me back into Dayz kicking and screaming – last couple years had been playing Braking Point ARMA3 mod.
1st server I popped into was yours, been in here off and on last week or two.
Never really paid much attention until I came across one of your members just north of the NE Airfield coming out of a hunter’s blind that I was about to enter.
Shocked the shit out me to say the least and after putting some bushes between us I pulled a weapon and shot him/her as they came out of brush.
Sorry to say, that if I had checked out your site prior to encounter we both could have walked away peacefully.
However with my poor eyesight and lack of reaction time, a shoot first policy is my motto when up close.
That being said.. watched your Meet The Heroes video and read some of your site.. DAMN! ..impressive! Bravo guys and gals!
Will try..try only to detect your uniforms prior to engaging, bad eyes sorry.
Wouldn’t consider myself a bandit per se, just a survivor. But understand everyone’s need to self defense.

Did search and saw a youtube video
Player was attacked about 2 blocks away from where I was …weird.

Thanks for stopping by and letting us know what happened. I definitely talked first and tried to calm you before you freaked out. Don’t be so jumpy! It’s just a game, you will find you will survive many more encounters if you just talk, even if you sound nervous or demanding trying to disarm someone.
Be careful shooting those in our HERO uniform, we often squad up and it might not be a very good idea for survivability, also shooting first in general usually only works against other lone wolves. There are lots of non-friendly squads out there with squadmates providing overwatch and security. Unfortunately for me, I was running alone at the time along a pretty safe route when we happened to cross paths.
Also, don’t trust our uniform 100%, our community has lots of imitators. We generally talk first if we have the opportunity, and usually identify ourselves via text chat so that you can see our name and tags (HERO* and GOOD*). Good luck out there and have fun!

Love the server and can appreciate almost everything that you guy’s are doing. Doh and I run on your server dang near exclusively. Just thought I would pop in and give a shout out as I’m sure we will be bumping into each other at some point.
Dohfugwimee and I both have checked that our in-game comms are working and double check them each time we’re in the server.
