ParticipantHey guys, now that we are free to talk about what happened during the hardcore solitaire event I’d love to hear everyone’s stories.
Feel free to post stories, pictures of journal entries, or videos in this thread.

ParticipantI’ll go first. I never managed to meet up with anybody. I first spawned in Kamy in the middle of a loopspolsion. I was all set within a few buildings. I ran up the coast near Berezino when the server first restarted. I must have joined back too quickly as a was a fresh spawn again near Cherno. I logged out right away but came back and was there in Cherno. I justified starting over again as we had really just started and I didn’t technically die.
Any way, before we started, I had no idea where this town was and did not look it up at all. I was assuming that all towns had road signs near them so I could find it pretty easily. After finding nothing but a box of cereal in Cherno, I made my way north. I went right by Novy Sober and thought I was on the right track. Obviously I messed up though because I found myself at the NEAF a little bit later.
I knew the town was in the north so I found the main highway up north and followed that to the quarry outside of Severograd. I then went around to the North and went to the towns in the extreme north of the map. I hit, what I found out later was Stary Yar and found no road signs. I then moved south and I was actually just outside of Ratnoe when I didn’t see a sign there either. I turned around and headed west and realizing none of the new towns seemed to have any road signs. It was about 2am at that point and I was frustrated so I logged out in Vavilovo outside of NWAF.
Gray Fox hit him up Steam right after that and let me know where the town was. I promptly had a facepalm moment when I realized I was just outside of the town earlier in the night.
First thing the next day, I ran straight for the town and found all of the backpacks and notes in the road. I also quickly found the stash in the food house. After reading the note about Berezino, I made my there. I didn’t find the next note at all. At a bit of a loss on what to do, I headed south down the coast thinking maybe you all went on a patrol or something to look for other people. I made it down to Elekrto but didn’t find anybody.
I made my way back up to Rathoe and updated the note indicating I was heading up north. Made my home up in Stary Yar. It had plenty of houses and a bunch of wells so it worked out nice. I spent some time up there messing around with farming and some target practice. I then checked out the small military area to the east.
After getting bored, I ran back down to Ratnoe and saw the updated note to check under the stairs in Berezino. I went back, found the small stash there but forgot a pen to update that note. I tried the radio a few times but didn’t get any feedback. I logged out near Berezino.
Overall, even though I didn’t find anybody, I had a blast. It was an awesome feeling knowing I was all alone for a while and had no online map to look at to find my way. I never actually saw another person but there was always this tense feeling knowing that any mistake would be my last for the event. Looking forward to doing this again sometime.

MemberI’m just going to leave my character’s journal entries here instead of posting them in the thread I made at the start of the event. My last journal entry for the character of Ethan Holt was in Ratnoe before the group I was with moved onto Berezino. I forgot to write up any other journal entries because so many of us were leaving notes for possible survivors making it to Berezino, and I ended up running all over the map hoping to run into people without leaving any notes about Ethan’s daily actions. My character is still alive near Berezino and I am probably going to start actively hunting bandits on that HoodRat server now that the event is over.

It is hard to believe that not too long ago I was enjoying a long overdue vacation in Kamyshovo. If you had told me back then that the world as I knew it was going to come to a crashing halt and what I would find myself tossed into was a world where the dead walked the earth once more, I would not have believed you. Now, however, it is impossible for me to deny what I have witnessed with my own eyes. Doing my best to avoid these inhuman monstrosities, I have made my way from the coastal region to Novy Sobor. It is my intention to continue on to the military base near Vybor in hopes of finding some vestige of order. If you are reading this, fellow survivor, remain ever-vigilant and keep yourself safe from these undead horrors.Yours in comradery,

My feet are sore and my soul is weary, but I have finally made it to the military base near Vybor. I was hoping to find members of the Chernarus Defense Force stationed at the base defending it from the hordes of undead roaming the area, providing a safe haven to survivors who found their way to the base from the surrounding towns. Instead all I found was more of the undead and no sign of my brothers and sisters in arms. There was gear though, so I replaced my civilian clothes with attire that would help me blend in and avoid the notice of the undead and the bandits who celebrate this new lawless time with hostile actions against their fellow Man. From the base I travelled to Vybor in search of any survivors; amazingly I met a Mr. Scarn who informed me that, to his knowledge, he was the only living soul left in Vybor. Together we travelled back to the base where I showed him some gear he might want to use now that there is no one left here to make use of it. We will be leaving the base shortly to head to the Northwest Airfield. Perhaps there we will find members of the Chernarussian Army or my fellow U.N. soldiers. Godspeed, survivor, and remember to stay vigilant for those who wish to do you harm.Yours in comradery,

With a friend by my side, I have finally made it to Ratnoe, a little town west of Severograd that I had never visited before today. Having travelled this route several times, this town was never anything more than a cluster of houses that I had passed through on my way to and from Severograd and Novodmitrovsk. Now that the world has gone to hell, however, Ratnoe is more akin to heaven than even the settlers who established it could have imagined. Mr. Scarn and I were met by four fellow survivors shortly after our arrival in the western side of the small town. They provided us with food and water and invited us to join them around the fire they had set up to keep warm and cook steaks of deer meat. As we shared our tales of survival in this apocalyptic landscape, I learned that their names were Derrel, Digital, Missbehaving, and Kittensoft. We all came from different places, but we were bound together by the common struggle we now faced to survive among the undead. I plan to remain in Ratnoe for the night before moving on to Severograd in search of others. Stay strong, fellow survivor, and know that there are still those out there that you can band together with to fight back against the Darkness spreading throughout these lands.Yours in comradery,

KeymasterI spawned in Elektro and immediately ran into another survivor who showed me where a sledgehammer was. He wanted to run and loot together, but I said goodbye and began making my way immediately out of the area due to the high risk of getting killed early during the event.
I went just north up the hill near Rog castle and found a mosin on the radio tower. I then headed to the town of Tulga or Msta (I can’t remember which) where I began looting for the basics in relative safety.
I soon heard eating and movement nearby so I bolted off into the woods to the north. I had barely enough food in me to make it 1 or two more towns before needing to loot again.
I made my primary objective to reach the meetup point instead of loot further so I headed north and looted here and there in low risk areas for food on the way. Once I reached Novomitrovsk, I knew I had to go west past Severograd to get to the meetup point.
I passed Severograd on my right and slowed my approach as I came up on Ratnoe. In front of me no more than 75 meters was another survivor with a red backpack creeping towards the meetup. I shouted “Hello Survivor!”, it was kittensoft. She said she recently spotted another survivor and we determined that it was not me.
We shortly approached Ratnoe and found derrel and Missbehaving. After waiting around for a bit, we managed to meetup with Agent Scarn, BloodyHeap, Gray Fox, and Swear. We made a plan to move to Berezino to setup a farming mission and decided to leave a backpack in the road with a note in it. I pulled out all of the other notes and stashed them in the house backpack so that the only note left was the Berezino note.
Missbehaving and I had lots of desync issues so the group moved on while we worked to fix the issue. We came back in and headed through Svetlo with our radio on trying to signal the rest of the group. We picked up signal a bit out of Berezino and worked out where the rest of the group was.
Missbehaving began setting up a farm at the base of the apartments in northern Berezino. We setup a stash under the stairs of the single apartment as per our previous note.
No contact was made other than our group, I stopped playing the event because I was working our our “Meet the HEROs” video.
